What is Nutritional Therapy?

Nutritional therapy is an evidence-based field of healthcare that uses nutrition to promote health.  It can prevent and manage a wide range of health concerns ranging from fatigue, weight management and stress through to diagnosed medical conditions.

 The Functional Model

Amanda uses the Functional Medicine approach to assess health. This is a more holistic approach, looking at the interplay between different systems in the body, your medical history and when necessary the use of laboratory tests. The goal is to identify and address underlying causes of health problems as opposed to just focusing on symptoms.  Amanda works with clients to enable them to take the right decisions towards healthy living.  Each person is treated as an individual and time is taken to create a food and lifestyle plan that works for the individual, this is key to motivation and success.
